About

Written by someone shipping agents for a living.

I’m Daniel Ternyak. I lead the Agents team at Owner, where we build Owner Agent. Before Owner, I founded Rep.ai and was CTO of MyEtherWallet.

Why this publication exists#

Every software company is adding an agent. The model is the easy part. The hard part is the product around it: whose permissions the agent uses, what a person sees before anything changes, what happens when a job outlives the chat, and how you prove the pilot worked.

The best teams have already made those calls in public, in their docs, demos and products. Product Agents takes one of them apart each week and pulls out the decisions you can copy, plus the ones you shouldn’t.

Work with me#

Team review

An outside review of the agent you’re building

We go through your agent the way the teardowns go through Shopify’s or Notion’s: acting identity and permissions, what the approval screen binds to, what survives a lost reply, and what your metrics actually count. You get a written list of decisions, ranked by risk.

Workshop

A working session for your product and engineering team

Your team works through the patterns in these teardowns against your own product: one real job, its approval, its undo, and the scorecard that decides whether the pilot worked.

Tell me what you’re building and where it’s stuck.
